Link various tasks that are dependent on each other.
The project plan will look like a real schedule.
There are 04 (four) types of dependencies
π· Finish-to-start
π· Finish-to-finish
π· Start-to-start
π· Start-to-finish
Creating finish to start dependency
π· Select the task you want to link
π· On the standard tool bar click link task π else use (ctrl+f2)
To apply any tak dependencies follow these steps
π· Select the task that is to become the successor
π· On the standard tool bar click task information or double click the task to open the task information dialog box
π· Click predecessors tab
π· Click the blank row in the task name field and then click the down arrow key to see the list of tasks
π· Click the task that is to be the predecessor to the current task
π· Click the type field then select the type of dependency
π· Click ok
The project guide also provides a quick way to create most common links
π· Choose the task on the project guide
π· Select the Schedule task
π· Select the task you want to link and then choose the link
